We see a lot of questions come through the MyUS.com Customer Service department, and we try to answer each one with personal attention. We have noticed many of our customers asking what phone number to use when ordering with merchants, though, and would like to make sure you have the answer to this question.
When you buy from a U.S. merchant’s website, the merchant will usually ask for basic contact information like your address and telephone number. You should always provide your MyUS.com suite as your shipping address, of course, but what telephone number do you provide?
MyUS.com Customer Service recommends providing your own telephone number when ordering with U.S. merchants. If you provide your own number, even if it is an international number, the merchant can call you should they have any questions about your order. In addition, some merchants may call you to verify your order or to follow up on your purchase, and providing them with a good contact number will help them reach you.
Some merchants, though, do not accept international telephone numbers. If you come across a merchant that does not accept international telephone numbers or requires a telephone number in the U.S. format, MyUS.com provides a number that you can use.
If a merchant requires a telephone number and will not accept your international number, you may use (941) 538-6941. You can also see this number at any time in the upper right corner of your MyUS.com membership page.
MyUS.com has set up this number exclusively for use when ordering from online merchants. Please do not use this number for contacting MyUS.com; if you must contact MyUS.com via telephone, you may do so at (941) 227-4444.
If you have other questions about your MyUS.com membership, you can contact Customer Service via email or through our Live Chat feature. If many of our customers have the same question, we’ll be happy to answer the question in a blog post that you can share with your friends!
