The internet is ablaze
with stories about Amazon’s new Kindle Fire. So what is this hot new item? It is the latest tablet that puts all your digital media in one place. You can surf the internet, download and watch movies, download and utilize apps and download and read books. It has unlimited storage through their Amazon Cloud feature and is ultra-fast with the new Amazon Silk. With the new Kindle Fire you have access to over 18 million movies, TV shows, songs, magazines and books. It’s all your digital entertainment in one lightweight, compact tool.
And now for the not-so-great news, when released on November 15, 2011, it will only be available within the U.S. While that is typically not a problem for our MyUS.com customers since we do ship to Australia, Japan, U.K.
and points beyond, the downloadable content will not be available as of yet to international customers.
All is not lost however because there are still the Kindle, Kindle Touch and Kindle Touch 3G products available for use worldwide. So you can save the $199 you would have spent for the Fire and spend anywhere from $79 to $149 for the other Kindle products. With a 6” display and the ability to download books anytime, this is the ultimate e-reader device. Their 3G networks work globally so you will have no problem accessing content and it can hold up to 3,000 books!
However, there is always the trusted and ever-popular Apple iPad as well. You can read, surf the net and use it as a personal computer all for just a bit more. Well, more than a bit. They start at $499. They offer just about anything you could need from a computer in a lightweight and thinner design.
Whether you’re looking to just read a few books without the back pain associated with carrying all of those around or want all the additional bells and whistles, you can find what you need when shopping in the US
