Many US online stores don't ship outside North America. So you're stymied. Except, not. This is what you do: go to myus.com and get an account (not free, but worth it). What this company does is provide you with an American address, which you use when buying from US websites. They then forward your purchases to your UK address, whether they're clothes, books, rugs or furniture. Dead simple and dead ingenious, especially as there are incredible bargains to be had from US online shops.
