What is Corrugated Cardboard?
If you've ever received an online order, you're already familiar with corrugated cardboard.
Corrugated material is commonly used to make shipping boxes because its layered construction provides strength and protection during transport. It's also one of the most significant packaging materials in the U.S. waste stream.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), corrugated boxes are a major waste stream and, fortunately, are widely recycled, making cardboard recovery an important part of reducing packaging waste.

How the MyUS Corrugated Recycling Program Works
Packages arrive at MyUS in all shapes and sizes, often in the original boxes and packaging the retailer selected.
When packages require consolidation, you may no longer need those original shipping materials. Instead of treating all that corrugated material as ordinary waste, MyUS separates eligible cardboard so it can be collected and baled for recycling.
Our efforts don't stop with cardboard boxes either.
We also donate wood and other corrugated materials collected through pallet pick-ups for reuse when possible, helping extend the useful life of materials that might otherwise be discarded.
